Buddy Bell is the senior minister of the Landmark Church of Christ in Montgomery, Alabama. Buddy is a frequent speaker at revivals, seminars, and retreats around the country. Buddy’s number one passion in ministry is to lift up Jesus and call people to follow him. He also has a heart for life changing small group ministry. In 2001 he founded Share Him Ministries which has helped hundred’s of churches around the country set up successful small group programs.
Buddy has served churches as youth minister, campus minister and as preaching minister. He has worked with churches in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Pensacola, Florida and Montgomery, Alabama.
Buddy’s hometown is Montgomery. After graduating high school he attended the University of Alabama in where he received a B.A. in Communication in 1981. He continued his education at Southern Christian University where he received an M.A. in Bible 1984.
Buddy has been blessed by over 32 years of marriage to the former Stephanie Beasley. They have been blessed with four children, Laura, Lindsey, Luke and Lincoln, two awesome sons-in laws, one wonderful daughter in law, and five perfect grandchildren.
Dr. Stan Granberg is executive director of Kairos: Church Planting, helping new churches begin across the country. Stan organized the Kairos ministry in 2005 as a resource to help reach God’s lost people with the good news of Jesus through new churches. Dr. Granberg is also a founding board member of the Heritage 21 Foundation. He has taught on the faculties of Harding School of Theology, Cascade College, and Lubbock Christian University. Stan planted churches in Meru, Kenya (1983-1993). Stan is a graduate of Harding University, Harding Graduate School of Religion, Fuller Theological Seminary and he received his PhD from the Oxford Centre for Mission Studies, Oxford, England.
Brother Wesley T. Leonard, born in Tallahassee, Florida, has been preaching the gospel since 1985. He currently serves as Senior Minister of the Southside Church of Christ in Orlando, Florida, and has been there since December 1999. Throughout this period, the congregation has experienced tremendous growth. Previously, he served as Minister at the Springhill Road Church of Christ in Tallahassee, Florida.
He has been married to the former Pamela Hadley since August 30, 1980. They have been blessed with 2 children, Johnathan Wesley, and Briana LeeAnn, and beautiful grandson Cailen Wesley Skinner. He is a dedicated family man.
Brother Leonard has a passion for golf and other sporting activities, and enjoys these in his recreational time. His commitment to live in a right relationship with God, together with his growing interest and abilities in the areas of public speaking and community service, provide for the foundation on which hesteadfastly and eagerly stands in service as a gospel preacher, minister, and counselor in the Lord’sChurch.
Macky has been married to his lovely Proverbs 31 wife, Daniele’, for 19 years this November. They were baptized into Christ on the same day as college students 20 years ago. They are now 39 years old and have the God given privilege to call themselves parents of two really amazing children. Nathan is 17 years old and driving. Like Macky, he is passionate about sports and he enjoys spending time with his youth ministry and is very evangelistic. Kayla is a 13 year old who wants to be a screen actress and is a very talented volleyball player. She is super sweet like her mother, but competitive like her dad and is also very evangelistic. Since Macky’s dad went to be with Jesus in 2017, his mom is the newest member of their household. Her name is Patricia and you will not find a harder worker or more committed servant. The Shedds are an energetic bunch that love to go on adventures together and share their lives and the gospel with others. They have recently followed the Lord’s direction and left a church family in Huntsville, AL where Macky served as the campus minister/evangelist for the last 15 years. They are now serving as church planters with the Crossings Church in the St. Louis, Missouri area and will plant a church in Columbia Missouri in 2020. They long to see more churches reclaiming their God given identities as salt and light as they seek to fulfill Matthew 28:18-20, “The Great Commission”. They are committed to planting churches that have disciple making in the DNA. They desire to be a model of what this can look like so that other disciples and churches can be encouraged in this direction.
David Skidmore has served as the Youth Minister of North Boulevard since 2001. He and his wife Melissa are raising three teenagers of their own — Daisy, Anna Belle, and Lila Mae. David's mission is to serve as a "sycamore tree" to the teenagers of the nbyg, lifting them above the distractions of the crowd so they might see the approaching Savior more clearly.
Anthony Walker has been preaching the gospel for 20 years. He has been actively involved in the church as a song leader, youth worker, preacher, and any other role God calls him. He is a mentee of Dr. Charles Beaman and assisted him at 40th Avenue Church of Christ for 5 years. While at 40th Avenue he served as an associate minister, bible school teacher, song leader, and youth worker. He participated in the Youth Conference accomplished an unprecedented feat of being Mr. Tennessee State Youth Conference three consecutive years. He attended Lipscomb University in pursuit of an Art Education Degree.
He is currently the full time minister of the Highway 231 Church of Christ in Murfreesboro, Tn where he has labored there for the past 10 years. During his tenure there, Hwy 231 has grown tremendously in membership and in service. He is a sought after speaker for gospel meetings and workshops. He has worked on several lectureships on the state, regional, and national levels as an a secretary, workshop coordinator, and speaker.
He and his wife, Jenny, recently celebrated 9 years of marriage in March. They are the proud parents of 2 young children: a son, Remington, and a daughter, Reign.
Bro. Walker delivers the Word in a simple, powerful, thought provoking manner that causes us all to examine our soul salvation.
David Young grew up in the churches of Christ in Middle Tennessee, where he began preaching at the age of 16. He currently serves as the Senior Minister for the North Boulevard Church of Christ in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He has worked for churches in Missouri, Kansas, and Tennessee, taught New Testament at several colleges, and travelled widely teaching and preaching, leading mission trips and hosting tours to the Holy Lands and to other religious sites.
He has published chapters in several books, has circulated numerous papers, and has published several books, including Alive in the Spirit: A Biblical Theology of the Holy Spirit, Extreme Discipleship: Following Jesus from the Gospel of Mark, and NEW DAY: Restoring the Revolutionary Mission of Christ’s Church.
He holds the B.A. from Freed-Hardeman University, the M.A. from Harding University Graduate School of Religion, and the M.A. and Ph.D. in New Testament from Vanderbilt University.
The 2019 New Day Conference will take place Thursday & Friday, September 12 & 13, 2019 at North Boulevard's East Murfreesboro campus.
Event registration is $79 per person. Spouses and North Boulevard members attend at no cost, but should still register. See instructions on the registration form, and register each attendee separately.
When registering, you'll have the option to receive a copy of David Young's book A New Day at no cost to you. This is recommended reading before arriving at New Day Conference, but not necessary.
